# Performance Audit

## Purpose

Record local asset sizes, runtime request behavior, tool loading policy, and honest measurement limits.

## Current Performance Contract

- All required runtime assets are local and no third-party runtime dependency is required.
- CSS and JavaScript URLs carry the release version and are eligible for long immutable caching.
- Large shared partner images and the internal hero logo use WebP sources with PNG fallbacks, intrinsic dimensions, lazy loading where appropriate, and proportional scaling.
- Ordinary content pages load only the shared site script; canonicalization, lifecycle, review, and hardening bundles load only on pages that require them.
- Search data loads only when search is used; tool datasets load only on relevant pages.
- Text compression is declared for Brotli and deflate when the host modules are present.
- No service worker is included because update, invalidation, offline fallback, and privacy behavior are not fully implemented and tested.
- Controlled local HTTPS proxy validation measures compressed representative HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive WebP image transfers, local request latency, local-only runtime dependencies, and non-blocking script markup. These lab budgets do not establish CDN geography, device rendering, field Core Web Vitals, or real-user monitoring.
